Hey,
I'm Sammie.
I am a professional photographer based in the Hudson Valley, NY, and more importantly a mom to THREE amazing little boys, AJ, Jackson, and Sawyer who are the backbone of everything I do. I have a caffeine obsession that rivals Loralei Gilmore , can quote my favorite movies like no tomorrow, can sing a-long (off key of course ha-ha) to almost any song, am clumsy as all hell, and really try to be a caring, loving, and empathetic person.
The Exact Moment
I have loved photography for as long as I can remember, buying throw away cameras and collaging my walls with all the places I wanted to visit, images I loved, and inspirational quotes. Looking back, I realize now that my heart knew what I was meant to do long before I used my first camera. I officially started photographing in 2007, this is where I can pinpoint the exact moment, I knew I wanted to be a photographer. From there I transformed my passion into a career in 2012 when I created Photography by Samantha Finch. I can confidently say that my journey in photography has evolved as my own life has unfolded, and currently brings me to my favorite season yet, a time I affectionally call my “Mom Era.”
